My TBR List February 2023

After Christmas, I was exhausted.  I had done a lot of reading, shopping, wrapping, gifting, blogging, and more... and I just wasn't up to posting to my blog. Plus, Meta has (unfairly) decided that my blog is spam because it is a free platform. At this point in time, I can't afford to switch so my growth is very slow. Besides all that I have lowered my reading goal for the year to 350 books because my husband is getting a little jealous of the time I spend with books. I'm mostly kidding. I have also started using Overdrive on my Kindle (Libby for android and ios users) I can borrow ebooks from my library directly to my Kindle and have them count towards my goal. In this way I'm rereading the Bridgerton series for free and also looking up other Regency Romance to read in preparation for season 3 of Bridgerton on Netflix this year.

When He Was Wicked by Julia Quinn

I have started reading this book for the second time. It is a hard book to read. It is worth the read. It is $8.00 on the Kindle app, which is kind of pricey. The first time I read it I read it for free through Hoopla (library service) but it doesn't count towards Kindle books read. This time I'm reading through the library service Overdrive (Libby for android and ios users) it is also free with a library card, at participating libraries. And you can send the books too your Kindle app and get all the perks of using the Kindle app.

Charm The Geeks by Allyson Lindt

This is not a free book. If memory serves I paid $5.00 for it. It is a MFF romance, this type of smut is really hard to find. I can count on one hand the good ones I've found. Most turn into a "cuckqueen" situation instead of a throuple experience. I like outside the box relationship stories. I also read MMF, I don't discriminate here.

Secret Babied For The Mafia Doctor by K.C. Crowne 

If K.C. Crowne has a new book out, you best believe I'm going to read it. This one came out January 30th, so threw it on my Kindle right away, I'm in the middle of When He Was Wicked, though, so this book may have to wait a little bit.

One The Way To The Wedding by Julia Quinn

Another book from Overdrive, another book I will be rereading. I will be looking up more regency romance novels on Overdrive after I'm done with this book.

Beautiful Carnage by Heather Ashley 

This book is driving me crazy! I'm reading it a loud to my husband. I read slower out loud, and he isn't as riveted by some of the details as I am. He doesn't want me to just read it on my own, though. So, hopefully I can get some more time to read this book this month.

Den Of Vipers by K.A. Knight

I don't usually like reverse harem romance all that much. It's hard for me to keep up with the "positions" and if there is a baby thrown in I get confused. Plus, the larger the harem, the harder for me to keep up with the writer. This book, comes highly recommended on my Facebook smut groups, and I've learned to listen to those readers. They know what they are talking about!

Doctor's Surprise Twins by Sofia T. Summers 

This is another book by an author I will just never turn down. I believe it is a Valentine's Day special, so I better hop to it. This should help round out my Doctor romance listacle post. If this book is as good as her others are, and I see no reason why it shouldn't. 

Stay At Home Booktag

As an introvert, I spend a lot of time at home. Probably too much, to be honest.  I decided to do this booktag because of that. Nothing beats curling up, in bed, with a great book for me. When we get our living room done I want to get a big, fluffy, couch to read on.

NETFLIX-a series that you want to start

I'm currently reading The Manhattan Billionaires by Lilian Monroe I don't read many series but these are all nanny/surprise pregnancy romance, so I have to read them. 

DEEP CLEAN-a book that has been on your TBR for ages

The Ritual by Shantel Tessier has been on my Kindle three times! I'm 4% the way through. I've heard so many good things, but it's a slow start.

ANIMAL CROSSING-a book you recently bought because of the hype

Wrong by Adelaide Forrest I have heard many good things. I'm 39% the way through... I'm not sure I can finish it. I don't really find NONCON sexy, but I'm going to power through because my Breeder Facebook book group recommends it to me all the time.

PRODUCTIVITY-a book you learned from or had an impact on you

Igniting Ivy by Samantha Christy it made me cry so much and the ending was so good I laughed with relief. There is loss of children in this book, but there is a happy ending.

FACETIME-a book you were gifted

I believe it was called The Visitor by Frank Peretti my Best friend was reluctant to see me turn pagan so she bought me this Christian novel. It is the story of a guy that comes to town claiming to be Jesus or something and the whole town goes crazy. Well there are a few skeptics, of course. To me, it was a story about how gullible people are... maybe especially Christians who desperately want something to be true. So, her gift kind of backfired. Usually I buy my own books so I have a better chance of enjoying them.

SELF CARE-what is one thing you have done to look after yourself 

Okay, so I haven’t really been doing this. My world revolves around reading right now. Can I count that?
